FORTIS CONSULTING

From a business idea to a well-structured project

Support for business owners in developing project ideas, financial projections, analysing funding options and preparing project documentation.

Business goal first. Source of financing second.

With EU funds, we don’t start from the call for proposals. We start from your business. First we define what you want to achieve, what investment is needed and whether the project makes business sense. Only then do we analyse whether there is a suitable source of financing.

Support can include

  • an initial analysis of the project idea
  • analysis of the basic eligibility criteria of a specific call
  • developing the project’s objectives, activities and expected results
  • preparing, or supporting the preparation of, financial projections
  • structuring the budget and financing plan
  • preparing business and financial documentation
  • coordinating the project preparation process
  • support in planning delivery after approval

The scope of the service depends on the specific programme, the rules of the call, the applicant’s status and the content of the project. The service does not include any promise that funding will be approved.

A good project must make sense even without a grant

A grant can speed up growth, but it cannot replace business logic. A project needs a clearly defined goal, realistic activities, a sustainable financing plan and measurable results.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know if my idea is suitable for EU funds?

You need to define the investment goal, the status of the business, the location, the type of costs, the expected results and the timeframe, and compare them with the conditions of a specific programme or call.

Is it enough that a call for proposals is open?

No. The project must match the objectives and criteria of the call, but it must also make sense for the applicant’s business. Adapting an unsuitable project just because a call is open can increase delivery risk.

What happens after a project is approved?

Next come the delivery of activities, monitoring of deadlines and costs, collecting documentation, reporting and meeting other obligations under the programme rules. That is why delivery should already be planned during preparation.
